• Prime Outlet At Ellenton
  This large outlet mall at Interstate 75 Exit in Ellenton just keeps growing and growing.  Some outstanding shops are Saks Fifth Avenue, Le Crueset Co., Home Style, Strasburg Children and Black & Decker Factory Store. 941-723-1150
   
• De Soto Square Mall

• 39^th Street & Manatee Ave. West
  The landmark near this intersection is the beautiful Spanish-style Christ Episcopal Church.  At first glance, these older commercial strips on each side of Manatee Ave. W. look like any ordinary shopping area, but unique surprises await.
   
• Manatee Ave. West from 63^rd to 75^th Streets
  Beall's a Bradenton-based department store chain clued into its market, has three stores among this stretch: the "big" Beall's at 6355 Manatee Ave. W., and a Beall's Outlet and Beall's Clearance Center in Beachway Plaza at 73^rd St. and Manatee.
   
• Target & T.J. Maxx at Bayshore Gardens
  Dubbed "Tar-j" by Generation Xers, the Target Store at 6150 14^th St. W. (US 41) has high-style, low priced goods: clothing, housewares, linens, camping equipment, books and CDs, small appliances, you-put-together furniture, jewelry and even groceries.
   
• Antiques
  There are plenty of antique shops in Manatee County.  Two favorites for their selection are Carriage House Antiques of Bradenton at 3307 Manatee Ave. W. and Old Palmetto Mercantile Antiques and Auctions at 501 Eighth Ave. W. in Palmetto.  Each has great selections of early to mid-20^th century collectibles, especially kitchen items.
   
• Downtown Shops of Sarasota
  Shops and galleries; Farmers Market every Saturday.  The latest addition, Main Street Plaza provides everything from a 20-screen movie theater with stadium seating to shops and eateries.
